Provides the care i need
Picture
When I first met Dr. Morris, I was a patient of one of his associates. I also knew another patient that was under the care of Dr. Morris. I was impressed with the helpfulness and professionalism Dr. Morris and his staff provide for his patients.

When the medical system for the USA was being radically changed, I wanted to stay with a doctor I trusted that would provide the care I need.
I joined n1Health at Windsong Medical Park when Dr. Morris changed to a membership practice.

Since joining, I have been extremely pleased with the staff and their friendly approach.

I have rarely had to wait for my appointment more than a few minutes. The time I spend with Dr. Morris is unhurried and informative. He takes the time to answer my questions to my satisfaction, which is very important to me.

Another plus is many of the lab tests are performed right in the office. That equates to much less time spent traveling to another location to have the samples taken.

Olivia, the health coach, gives me an in-depth analysis of how my body is functioning and encourages me to exercise and eat well. In fact, I have learned a great deal about health at the seminars held periodically in the office.

I'd like to cite a recent experience that was handled in a manner that made a difficult situation much less stressful for me. I tripped and broke my hip in October. This happened on a Saturday morning. I called the office and was able to speak to Dr. Morris, not an on-call doctor. I didn't want to go to the ER. We decided that I would stay home for the weekend and he would prearrange my hip x-rays and any medical attention that may be required on Monday. I did need to have surgery, and he had me admitted to a hospital and I had my surgery that Monday.

The comfort and secure feeling of having a medical team that "has my back" is invaluable. I highly recommend Dr. Morris's n1Health for all your health needs.

Taking better care of myself
Picture
We just want to tell you how pleased we are about having elected to participate in your n1Health program when you initiated it in 2013. At that time we ha enjoyed your medical services for about a year following the retirement of Dr. McCleary, so it was not difficult to reach that decision. At that time I was 81 years old, weighed about 245 pounds, and had a variety of what seemed to me to be minor health problems, which were being treated by my cardiologist (diastolic dysfunction), endocrinologist (osteoporosis), gastroenterologist (hiatal hernia), pulmonologist (COPD), dermatologist, ophthalmologist, as well as a few other specialists as needed.

Your n1 problem provided several diagnostic tests new to us: the carotid artery test, the glucose tolerance test (Diabetes 2, OUCH!), more extensive and more frequent lab testing, an extensive DNA analysis, your nutrition seminars, and perhaps, one of the best: Olivia's body composition and obesity analyses with a suggested exercise regimen. At about the same time I decided that my rapidly diminishing muscular capability was largely caused by the statin prescribed by my cardiologist several years previously, so I decided to quit taking it notwithstanding his strong objection. Based on all that, primarily the diabetes 2 diagnosis and the statin-related disabilities, I began reading various books and nutritional papers your supplied, recommended, or mentioned, which led to an extensive change in our diets, nutritional supplements, and spices. We now walk an older but healthier dog up nearby hills 20-30 minutes each day, and occasionally lift barbells and stretch resistance bands.

I'm sure your records will reflect the results more accurately, but about four months after quitting the statin and modifying my diet, I was no longer pre-diabetic, my osteoporosis was no longer evident, laboratory results are vastly improved, body composition and obesity analyses are in or near the normal range, and my general strength is greatly improved. After eight months I had lost about 65 pounds and 6 inches around my waist! I now take only four prescribed medicines and four supplements rather than the 21 I took about a year ago.

While much of this improvement can be attributed to the inspiration, advice, assistance, and motivation you and your staff provided, I am sure that you will agree that the most important factor was probably my belated attention to my own health and the serious study and effort I applied to resolve issues I had long neglected.

Thank you for the inspiration you and your n1Health program staff have given me!

I recall a humorous lament made many years ago by a celebrity of sorts - I think it was Bob Crosby - who said: "Had I known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself!" Hopefully, I won't have occasion to repeat that lament one day.

We Found What We Were Searching For
Picture
We chose Dr. Morris as our primary physician for several reasons, including being patients at the prior Windsong practice, albeit with another doctor. We not only attended the initial introductory meeting to introduce the n1Health structure, but we also scheduled a private appointment with Dr. Morris. We also made an appointment with a physician outside the n1Health group to compare practices. We are both on Medicare, and we had concerns about how many doctors were refusing new Medicare patients. We were also concerned by reports that many doctors were limiting time spent with patients because of Medicare's continuing reductions in fees paid to doctors. In comparing the information we obtained from all these sources, we made our decision, finding what we were searching for in the blend of medical care that Dr. Morris was offering.

The benefits we believe we enjoy by being patients at n1Health are:
  • 24/7 doctor availability
  • The practice's strong focus on wellness
  • Ample time spent in appointments with Dr. Morris to discuss options regarding our medical concerns
  • The office staff and medical support team is the best we have seen in a long time - they are pleasant, efficient, and available
  • The monthly FREE educational presentations on various health-related issues (one of our favorites is the cooking demos, with not only recipes being provided but food tasting too!)

Additional benefits we enjoy include a greater understanding of our personal health issues, both real and potential, and having experienced significant improvements on test results (i.e. blood sugar levels) over a several-month period. Plus, much testing is done right in the office.

We have spoken so highly of Dr. Morris and the n1Health network that several of our friends have also joined the practice. We encourage you to schedule your own appointment with Dr. Morris to fully understand the differences and to see what you may be missing.

JUST BRAGGING
Picture
I never mention my weight loss to my friends because I don't want to make them jealous, but I just had to tell somebody. Last May I was wearing 48-inch pants, and they were a little tight. This morning I tried on about eight pairs of 42-inch pants, and they all fit.

Every day I'm sensing changes to my body and feeling better. It's been almost six months since I needed to take a Xanax for anything. That's because I am sleeping and breathing so much better.

My thanks to you and Olivia for the advice and coaching. Then n1 program has given me a much clearer picture of what fitness and well-being entails.

Overall Health Has Improved Immensely
Picture
Prior to meeting Dr. Morris, I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. I also had long-term challenges with anxiety and a sleep disorder. While former physicians understandably steered me into the direction to seek help from heart specialists, I went from doctor to doctor seeking solutions and treatment, and each doctor had different opinions, solutions, and medications. This took a mental, physical, emotional, and financial toll on me. What started out as my having a high level of anxiety and sleeplessness to begin with, escalated off the charts and soon I was in dire need to make some kind of positive change. I was at a loss as to what to do in all of this confusion.

As I shared my health condition with a friend, she passed along to me some information she had learned about Dr. Morris and his medical practice. I was so impressed by what I heard that the following day I called Dr. Morris's office to make an appointment. After meeting Dr. Morris, I was convinced that he was the doctor I wanted to call my Primary Care Physician.
I appreciate Dr. Morris genuinely listening to my symptoms and concerns. I always feel that I am receiving knowledgeable feedback. From day one, Dr. Morris has assured me that he could and would help me. I gave him the chance to help me with my health, and he has gone above and beyond to deliver that which he has assured me of.

My physicians in the past had treated the symptoms but not the root cause. Dr. Morris showed me that my health concerns were not separate from one another, but rather, interrelated. Dr. Morris undeniably shows his concern, is honest in sharing his professional knowledge, and offers his assistance to give me the tools I need to do my part in my own recovery. I appreciate Dr. Morris's approach to health and well-being through the application of the four pillars of good health: nutrition, exercise, care of mind and spirit, and integrative medical care. Through his expertise, I am receiving the highest level of medical assistance. I am learning what it truly means to be a "partner" with my doctor and his medical team in order to preserve and enhance my health. From the minute I walk into Dr. Morris's office until the time I leave, I feel welcomed and honored by my doctor and his excellent staff.

At my six-month check-up with Dr. Morris, I was pleased to be told that my health had substantially improved. The atrial fibrillation has not appeared since the first episode almost one year ago. My anxiety level has decreased significantly, and I find that I possess more of a positive attitude and willingness to embrace the best for my life. A workable solution has been found to help me with my sleeplessness. My overall health has improved immensely. I feel fortunate to be alive and well, and I owe my deepest gratitude to Dr. Morris and his staff in helping me through one of the most difficult health episodes of my life.

Great Trust in my Doctor
Picture
Thank you for time and effort you expended in clarifying my rather simplistic approach to blood values.

I do not see how ordering additional blood work before our annual meeting with you is either necessary or desirable. I have great trust in you and I think there is nothing to be gained by me obsessing over my blood test results.

Most important is my gratitude for your approach to medicine. Before we had the good fortune to have you become our physician, I was on Lipitor, Prilosec, and Enalapril. I had muscle aches and indigestion continually. I was told that my high blood pressure was simply genetic and something I should expect with the aging process.

After about six months under the n1Health regimen, with sugar totally out of my diet and having ceased all medications except for Flomax, my blood pressure is normal, my lipids are pretty good, I have had no gastric reflux for a long time, and the muscle aches have subsided. And, not to mention, I have lost 9 pounds, apparently all fat, although I have no idea where it was hiding!

I Actively Participate in My Own Health
Picture
Dr. Morris is a well-known and highly respected Prescott Valley doctor. I was one of his first patients after he established his local practice many years ago. When I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of his private practice with personalized preventive care, I was eager to be a part of it.

I very much appreciate Dr. Morris and his staff because of the excellent care, responsiveness, and resources they provide. I have better overall health because they work with me so I can achieve the best state of health and quality of life possible. The most important benefit I have received is peace of mind. I have received personalized health assessments, a preventive health plan, and 24/7 access to Dr. Morris.

Being a part of MorrisHealth has resulted in my ability to actively participate in my own health. Even more importantly, because of the preventive approach used, skin cancer was identified and removed before it became a critical issue for me.

I believe the reason working with Dr. Morris has been a successful experience is that in addition to his integrity and high standards of practicing medicine, he has become a part of the personalized medicine revolution.

If a person were unsure about becoming a member of MorrisHealth, I would encourage him or her to give it a try. I believe they would benefit as I have and find that prevention and actively working together with Dr. Morris and his staff will increase the overall quality of their lives.

Trusted Primary Care Doctor Since 1985
Picture
After moving from Colorado to Prescott in 1985, my wife and I were looking for a primary care doctor and happened to meet Dr. Morris on a Nature Conservancy tour in the Verde Valley. Finding that we had some common interests in outdoor activities and issues, we before long chose to go to him as our regular doctor, and have continued to be his patients ever since. He has attended carefully to our medical needs, both major concerns that required hospitalization or referral to specialists and the less chronic problems that seem to accompany the aging process, and become a valued close friend.

We especially appreciate Dr. Morris's willingness to take time to fully consider and address our concerns, crediting us with the ability to understand the implications of diagnoses. His recommendations for treatment are relatively conservative, helping us to thread our way through an overcomplicated health industry whose automatic reflex often seems to be treatment for treatment's sake. As Dr. Morris has moved into an personalized medicine practice, his inherent focus on wellness and a preventive medical approach has found space and time to expand. We have especially benefited from some fairly radical dietary and exercise changes after testing and consultation with Dr. Morris and his Health Coach, Olivia McCarty - changes that have made measurable differences at the systematic level. On a good day, at the age of 77, I might come close to out-hiking him on rough ground.

Like Healthcare I never Dreamed of
Picture
For years Dr. Morris would tell me, "Lose weight, exercise more, eat a proper diet." But I never understood why these things were so important to my well-being. I mean, we all know we should do these things, but I never really understood what was going on in my body at a molecular-cellular level until I started attending the educational events. The training I've received and the diagnostic testing have been worth cost of membership. I can train hard and tailor my diet and then see the results of my efforts on my next visit. This is healthcare like I never dreamed of.

Everyone goes above and beyond
Picture
I did not select anyone who has gone "above and beyond" because everyone, including Dr. Morris, seems to do this every time I call on them. Also, 24-hour access and coordination of care rank as close seconds for services that are most important to me. Your practice provides both in excellent fashion.

Love This New Plan

I love what you've done with this new plan. I feel much more confident with my health and what you've done to help me with by problems. I've always thought you were the best, but this new program far outweighs the other. Thanks!

Dr. Morris Has Always Provided Excellent Care
Picture
I have been with Dr. Morris for twenty years and have always had excellent care. I am living in a retirement community and am not interested in attending educational events. My meals are provided, and I try to make the best nutritional choices from what is served, and, at 86 yrs, I exercise to the extent I can and am more concerned with maintaining my level of fitness than making great improvement.

Remedial Care is Top Notch
Picture
Dr. Morris and his staff are all very friendly, and obviously dedicated to my best health interests, not just with cranking me through the system. Dr. Morris schedules - and takes - the time needed to thoroughly understand my concerns and health issues. The fact that MorrisHealth emphasizes preventive health care is awesome. However, their remedial care is also top notch.

I have come to view Dr. Morris as a friend who personally cares about me when I see him in his office, not just as someone who wants to hurry and be done with me and move on to the next patient. I previously had a doctor who barely looked up from his computer whenever I saw him. Each time I saw him he had to ask what I was taking a certain medication for. Not so with Dr. Morris. The fact that he makes himself available to call any day, any time, is exceptional. Can't say that about many doctors today. I cannot single out someone on his staff who has gone "above and beyond" because it is truly of all of them.

BEST HEALTH DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE
Picture
I now have Dr. Morris as my primary physician and it has been the best decision that I have ever made regarding my health. The comfort that I feel 24/7, knowing he is available any time I need him, is reassuring. When I am with him he takes the time that I need, which in my 68 years is the first time a doctor has done this.

My past doctors have spent a short time with me and moved on to the next patient. Dr. Morris and his staff are completely dedicated to my whole care, not just writing a prescription or a quick fix. Whenever I call in I get a live person and everyone on his staff is truly amazing. I always feel taken care of and they constantly inspire me as I feel my needs are catered to. I had tests done that they offer, which was new to me. The carotid artery test, the glucose tolerance test for diabetes, extensive DNA analysis, more frequent lab testing, a health coach with testing, nutrition seminars, and much more. I am shocked in the best way possible that Dr. Morris and his staff offer me such excellent care that I have always dreamed about and never received. I feel blessed to have made this decision.

Healthcare Everyone Wants!
Picture
Dr. Morris and his staff provide the type of health care that everyone wants.  Dr. Morris takes the necessary time to understand your health issues, explain the options, and then follows-up to ensure we are on the right path.  If only all doctors had the caring attitude that he does, everyone would be much healthier.

Most Empathetic, Caring, Knowledgeable & Kind
Picture
Dear Dr. Dan,

...Of all the doctors we have had to go to (and there have been many in all the 62 ½ years of our marriage) you alone, by far, have been the most empathetic, caring, knowledgeable, and kind.  And going to you, as a doctor, has never been a “have-to” situation, but one of “looking forward to” because we know your advice is as valuable to us as gold.  We leave your office with a strong confidence, and assurance that you genuinely care because you are trustworthy...

Doctor Morris' Practice is Something Different
Picture
It’s so typical when you go to the doctor to be told, “Lose some weight, get some exercise, and watch what you eat.”  That advice gets so old you forget about it as soon as you are out the door.   We are all accustomed to visiting the doctor only when we have an ailment.  We spend an average of seven or eight minutes with the doctor before he rushes off to see the next patient.  Doctor Morris’s practice is something different.

As a new patient you start with a battery of painless diagnostic tests that will tell you things you never  knew about your body’s composition and physiology.  My favorite test is what I call “taking a ride” on the IN-BODY machine, which looks like a cross between a pair of bathroom scales and an exercise machine.  After standing on the IN-BODY for about a minute you will get a report that tells how many pounds of fat, muscle tissue and water your body contains.  It even breaks down the analysis to show how much muscle you have in each arm and leg.  I like this because I can request this test every few months to see if I am making progress, hopefully by gaining muscle and losing fat tissue.

There are monthly presentations about important subjects affecting your health, such as diabetes, heart health and healthful foods.  These sessions gave me the knowledge of what is going on in my body on a molecular and cellular level so that I finally understand the importance of maintaining muscle tissue, avoidance of sugar and animal products.  I’d heard a lot of this stuff for years, but after attending these presentations I gained in-depth knowledge that really opened my eyes.

You can also avail yourself of aerobics training and exercise guidance through our fitness coach.  I say “our” because I think of Morris Health as something that belongs to me as a member.  The classes will help improve the body’s flexibility and balance, both very important considerations as we grow older.

I could go on and on, but I will close by saying that I have seen dramatic improvements in my own state of health with my membership in Morris Health.  These improvements are documented on paper in addition to my own perception of well-being.  Knowing what I know now about aging I feel so blessed that I have had this opportunity to improve my life.  I’ve been a patient for 18 years.  I rely on Doc Morris’s guidance all the time.  Doctor Morris has helped me so many times.

Of course you don’t get this level of health care for free.  But when people ask me, “How can you afford to pay the membership fee?”  I say, “I can’t afford not to pay it.”  It has been worth every penny to me.

He is Loving, Kind, and Compassionate

Dr. Morris was the 1st doctor here in PV 35 years ago in one small brick building, all else was a cow pasture.  He is still there.  He is a walking encyclopedia.  He is loving, kind, and compassionate. So knowledgeable, yet so humble.  He always treats me with dignity and respect. I trust him totally and dearly love him, he is precious to me and my husband.

Our Gratitude is Immeasurable
Picture
Dear Dr. Morris,
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for our Dad. He absolutely loved you - felt comfortable and well taken care of by you, and always lit up when he saw you.  We, his daughters, depended so much on your wisdom, experience and guidance.  It was a huge comfort to have your advice on his care and your recommendation for a care home.  Our gratitude is immeasurable.
God bless you!
Best wishes and Aloha,

"A Concierge Doctor Can Be Well Worth the Fee"
Picture
I had completed a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon (and back up!) in 2016, but that was the last straw for my knees. My doctor told me that he could think of only one or two patients in his 34 years of practice whose imaging studies showed knees worse than mine – and I was 20 years younger than his typical patient.

Two orthopedic surgeons already familiar to me – one of them in a nationally renowned health care system – told me that total replacements of both knees would probably reduce the extreme pain I had, but would not restore functionality.
They both said that I should not have the surgery until I accepted the fact that I would never hike again.

My concierge doctor (Dr. Morris) didn’t give up. He found a third orthopedic surgeon in a major city two hours away whom I had never heard of, practicing in a hospital I knew nothing about.  That surgeon disagreed with the other two, telling me that one of his patients had climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro nine months after he had replaced both of his knees.

He performed the surgery on me in 2018, after which he said that my knees had been even worse than anyone had thought, and if I had not had the surgery when I did, continuing (and unusual) deterioration almost certainly would have consigned me to a wheelchair permanently within about two years.

Instead, by six months after surgery, I was routinely hiking a nearby mountain – pain free.
Was it worth it to me to pay the couple thousand dollars in concierge fees to get the thoughtful attention that led to this referral and this outcome?  No question!
